The Friendly Bench want a short sales presentation, roughly ten slides that communicate:

Aims - what we all wish for as a society, e.g. happy, connected, abundant, kind world

Problem - unhappiness, socially disconnected communities, austerity, rise in loneliness and social isolation, depression, mental health problems etc.

Solution - The Friendly Bench, an affordable, sustainable solution to help connect the elderly, socially isolated and those with limited mobility to people, places and with nature. Developing an early intervention solution on their doorstep, communities are empowered to strengthen social connections, help tackle loneliness and social isolation, create a sense of belonging, help improve their own and their community's physical and mental health and wellbeing, creating a sense of place, identify and pride etc.

Cost savings -information comparing costs of TFB against societal breakdown, young people’s mental health, elderly people etc, loneliness, e.g. '“epidemic of loneliness” costs £6,000 per person for a decade of an older person’s life in health costs and pressure on local services.’, '£1 spent on preventing loneliness, there’s the potential to save £3.'

Benefits - to an individual, physical/mental health and wellbeing, community cohesion, safer communities, more active citizenship, economic advantages and potential savings to public services’ budgets.

Call to action - organisations / community group / charities to join The Friendly Bench network and work with us to deliver a TFB in their own community(ies).

The purpose of the sales presentation is to drive ‘leads’ from organisations / community groups / charities who would like to join The Friendly Bench network and work together to deliver The Friendly Bench in their own community.
